Run View (beta)
The Run View in the web app streams information about a test run as it comes in, including build logs, setup logs, and passing or failing properties.
How to use the Run View
First, make sure you’re on Release 66 or higher.
In the web app, click on the version number at the bottom of the left sidebar. Toggle the Beta features slider to on.
Then go to the Recent runs tab and select View run for the run you’re interested in.
The page header summarizes information about the run, like the run duration, the run status, and how many properties have passed or failed.
There are four tabs: Environment, Build, Setup, and Properties.
Environment
The Environment tab shows the container images and run parameters for the run.
Build
The Build tab streams build logs for the run.
You can filter or search logs by text string, or download them as .txt, .json or .csv files.
Setup
The Setup tab streams setup logs for the run.
You can filter logs by source, container, stream type, or assertion type, or filter or search by text string. You can download logs as .txt, .json or .csv files.
Properties
The Properties tab streams information on properties.
Click on a property to view its description and further details. For properties connected to events, this includes the logs leading up to the property’s first counterexample (if it’s failing) or first example (if it’s passing), with that event highlighted. Select View more logs to explore the run’s logs in the Logs Explorer, or Debug event to start a multiverse debugging session from the highlighted event.
Select Favorite on a property to add it to the Favorites group. Favorites will appear in a group at the top of the list, as well as their normal group. Select Ignore on a property to move it to an Ignored group at the bottom of the list.
You can filter properties by group, by status (Passing, Failing, In progress, Favorite or Ignored), or by property name.
You can group properties by status (the default), or by property type.
