Setup mode

Setup mode allows you to iterate faster with your system setup in the Antithesis webapp. It provides a setup assistant that streams your build and setup logs. You can edit your config files and rerun setup until you’re ready to launch a full test.

How to launch setup mode

To access setup mode, go to Test launchers in the web app. Select the test you want to launch and check the Setup mode box:

Select Launch the setup run. This launches your test in a Setup assistant that shows you your build logs and then your setup logs as they stream in:

If you see something that looks incorrect, select the Update configuration, and re-run button. This lets you update any files in your config image, and then re-run your setup:

These files will include docker-compose.yaml file if you use Docker Compose, and your manifest files if you use Kubernetes.

Once you reach the setup complete signal, the setup assistant will stop streaming logs:

You can then select Launch a new test run to launch a full test run in Antithesis.
